Can I apply for a Change of Name Deed Poll?

In order to apply to change your name by Deed Poll, you need to fulfill at least one of the following criteria:

• British and Living in the UK
  If you are British and live in the United Kingdom, then you can apply for a Change of name Deed Poll document directly from us.
  
  
• British and Living abroad
  You will need to check with your nearest British Consulate of High commision to check that there are no special requirements that must be met.
  
  
• Foreign national Living in the UK
  You should check with you nearest Consulate or High Commision to see whether a Change of name Deed Poll is accepted by them as proof of a name change.
  
  
• Age
  You need to be 16 or over to be apply for a Change of name Deed Poll directly from us.
